- Initial in-depth analysis by a regional office with support from various educators
- Site visit was undertaken (Tony Little, Sukwinder Bassi among others) where the team used their experience and expertise to assess and evaluate the school site. They interacted with school leaders and followed up with conference calls with senior education leaders in Nigeria
- Followed up with a property development team in Dubai as to the school’s fit-for-purpose state
- Multiple discussions were held with alumni to gain their input on academics, school discipline and the school ethos in the school during their time, as well as their views on a future holistic educational approach
The Government College Umuahia was founded by Reverend Robert Fisher on January 29, 1929 when he opened the gates of the school to 25 students drawn from all parts of Nigeria and West Africa, but with catchment in Eastern Nigeria, and the Southern Cameroons.
